Levi's First Birthday

Thanks to my assistant Tyler, Levi's first birthday party was a success.

Tyler helped with the cake and made construction signs to hang around the house.
He looked online for inspiration.
Baby Gate Ahead        Boy at Play
This was my favorite sign that he made. He copied it from my chalkboard in the kitchen.
CAUTION: Boys leave smudges on your heart!
Grandma and Grandpa came down to celebrate with us. I was a little worried Sheldon would sleep through the party. His asthma has been horrible lately and he hadn't slept well for 2 weeks straight. :( He would normally nap for 1 1/2 hours and that day he slept 3 1/2 hours straight.

If you look REALLY carefully you can see Levi's one and only tooth on his bottom right. He is busy and into everything. He hangs on to anything from the laundry basket to his high chair and uses it to help him walk. He loves to walk around the yard using Sheldon's Tonka truck. Now he has his very own.
The boys love the new gravel area. But I'm pretty sure this mom loves it the most.
No more muddy boys and dog :)

And I really like the new trampoline that has a net now.
Tyler discovered another perk of having a net. He threw in a bunch of balls.
The little guys thought this was pretty cool.

Levi didn't eat any of his smash cake. He just fed everyone else and played in it.

Sheldon decided to join in the fun by playing with the tractor that was on the big birthday cake.
I threw them both in the bathtub after Grandma and Grandpa left. There was so much chocolate on the two of them it left a brown ring in the tub.

How has it already been one year? And where did all of that black hair go? LOL!
